Got a tethering plan?

Better think about your battery plan.

I cancelled my iPad data plan and swapped it for a tethering plan.

It’s much more cost effective, MB for MB and I can share my connection with multiple devices, which is very handy for sharing an internet connection on a road trip with the kids’ Kindle and iPods.

The best kept secret of tethering? It’s a great workaroiund for those moments when you want to buy content over 20MB — content your carrier thinks is too much drain for a data connection.

But that leads me back to the battery plan. Tethering is a great way to empty a phone battery.
